Q: What is it all about?
A: Basically, we are out to teach budget air travellers how to find cheap available space on scheduled and charter airlines, how to barter for a cheap seats on holiday planes, how to fly on empty business  jets, how to find flights on cargo planes, private airplanes, missionary & relief planes and much more - you'll never be restricted to a travel agents or conventional airline flights again.

Q: Who are you?
A: Adventurair is a small independent publishing company with one title The Ride Guide dedicated to opening up new methods and practices to aid the budget air traveller get the best deal.

Q: Where are you located?
A: Our head office is in Paris France with our main satellite office in London Gatwick airport, and smaller offices in West Palm beach Florida USA, and Brisbane Qld Australia.

Q: Can i really get totally free flights.
A: Essentially yes, remember you parents telling you nothing in life is free, well you can get some flights using the ride guide without having to exchange cash, so when you are low on funds - you can work your passage on a cargo plane, relief, or missionary flight, plus much more... but that's all in the book.

Q: How much is it?
A: We have 4 versions. 2 Hard copy and 2 on CD-Rom. The CD rom is much cheaper than the hard copy, but you will need access to a PC - which may not be possible if you are travelling in the third world - Prices for all versions go here -

Q: Can you help me get cheap and free flights?
A: Most definitely . Much of the information in the Ride Guide is totally new, and you will not see any other travel guide , airline or travel agent publishing information like ours. See what others have said about us, at

Q: What makes you book different from all the others?
A:
For the first time actual current airline pilots, (who have been hardcore budget backpackers) have put into print their experience and inside knowledge opening up a whole new world of budget air travel possibilities & opportunities that have never before been made available to the travelling public.

Q: Can I find the ride guide in my local bookshop?
A: Not yet, but you can order it from your local book shop using the ISBN book code number, but this can take up to 2 weeks. Ordering direct is only 4-6 days.

Q: Many of the flights on your departure board don't list
    destinations or prices! What's that all about?

A: The departure board is much more useful to those that have read our book.  Basically many of the space available flights listed there are posted by private pilots with private planes and time to fly and by air taxi and air charter companies who have space available - so for a mutually agreeable share you can share expenses and choose the destination you need. Some of the flights are empty business or charter jets that are making a trip empty  - again you may make your own deal to ride - no middle men or travel agents involved - therefore cheaper prices.

Q: There isn't a flight on the departure board i can use!
A: There are hundreds of flights that don't get posted - which is why for you to make use of these flights it is necessary to know how to find flights of this kind on your own - hence the "Ride Guide"

Q: Are you a Travel agent?
A: Simply No. - The guide allows you to be your own travel agent, however we are able to assist our members get some deals that are not available to the general travelling public. 

Q: How can the guide help me?.  Do you purchase a new one every year?  What if I am in need of a last-minute flight?

The guide is in two parts the first part is all about budget flight opportunities, many of which are our exclusive - and are new to the budget traveller -

The second part is a worldwide directory of air operators - this is intended to be a starting point for your enquiries into flight options when you need a flight. All of the flight operators in the world operate empty aircraft from time to time.

Q:  How often is it updated?
A: The directory does not need to be updated - you are probably aware that any kind of large directory becomes out of date the day that it is published on paper - however our members area of our site is where we keep our travellers informed of the latest changes, plus we provide assistance to our members should they not be able to find informed info themselves.

Q: What size are the .pdf files on the CD-ROM? Can I just purchase and download the files?
A: The .pdf files are 6MB, but are not yet available to download - however we are working on this. The Cd Rom only takes 4-6 business working days to reach most destinations outside Europe.
